From the first impression to the smallest detail, I want each and every event to be beautiful, flawless and inviting to my clients. I’m a native Baltimorean, Owner and Creative Director of And Butterflies Too. With a degree in Fine Arts, culinary degree and more than twenty years as an artist, I’ve been wielding full control of the transformative powers of creativity and design for as long as I can remember. Not only am I surrounded by artists and creative thinkers daily due to my association with one of Maryland’s prominent art colleges, but I take the inspiration I draw from many of them and transition that energy and focus into every event I oversee.
I’m a serial designer who sees the world as an elaborate collage – a place where creativity strikes in many unexpected ways. When I’m not helping a client plan their event, I love spending time with my wonderful husband, two devoted adult kids, two adorable granddaughters and the family’s lovable labradoodle, Max. Occasionally, I get to steal away, and during those rare moments when I’m not practicing my culinary talents for friends and family, I enjoy scouring flea markets and vintage shops, discovering quaint out of the way cafés, traveling and reading design and craft magazines and books for new ideas and additional inspiration.
Our lives are a compilation of precision like timing- when things came together, how they happened, what were you doing and how you felt when they occurred. All too often our proudest and most cherished moments can slip by in the blink of an eye. I believe that all moments, like all great culinary creations, should be savored and enjoyed.
As a wife, mother, and Event Consultant and Coordinator of And Butterflies Too Events, I have been able to hone in on my natural inkling to create balance and manage my time wisely so that cherished moments have few opportunities to slip away. Those closest to me would describe me as personable, outgoing, creative, energetic, thoughtful, eclectic, and hard working, with a sprinkle of dreamer, and a dash of hopeless romantic. There are few things more rewarding to me than transforming a vision into a masterpiece. Whether it be a Do-it-Yourself project, experimenting with a new recipe, or the production of an event, I am always up for a challenge and an adventure.
Beauty, as I see it, exists in all things, and is the manifestation of balance, positive energy, and creativity. Along this journey called life, I have had to embrace the art form of taking the time to enjoy priceless moments. Because in life, do overs are few and beauty is plentiful. Creating these opportunities for my clients is my number one goal.
