TATTOO-INSPIRED WEDDINGS / SHOW YOUR INK BEAUTIFUL!

Published by andbutterfliestoo@gmail.com on

Beautiful bride with a strong sense of self, determined to break with tradition by wearing a black tulle wedding dress and leather jacket.

Tattoos and weddings might not seem like an obvious pairing, but much like the permanence of ink on the skin, love lasts forever! Today’s colorful wedding inspiration was inspired by my daughter, Candice, who also proudly sports tattoos.  She challenged me to tap into my creative edginess by paying homage to all the fearless brides-to-be who are determined to own all of who they are on their wedding day!  She reminded me that there was a time when the common objection to getting a visible tattoo was, ‘But what about your wedding?’ are all but over.  More couples are showing off their ink on their big day as tattoos become more common and many weddings become less formal and less traditional.  Even temporary wedding tattoos have now become a big bridal trend.  It’s great that couples no longer need to cover up their ink.  After all, you should look like you on your wedding day.  There’s no reason to hide tattoos whether they are small or a “full sleeve” – a large tattoo or a series of tattoos that covers most of a person’s arm.  We hope you enjoy this post and that you’re inspired to be all of you at all times, not just on your special day!

Most states require a tattoo artist to have some kind of license before they can touch anyone with a needle. Check the laws in your state to make sure that you are dealing with a licensed practitioner.
