Creative stimulus in style

Every year at this time I find myself indulging in retrospection and reevaluating some of my life choices from the previous twelve months.  Some decisions were better than others in 2016 but I grew as a result of each and every one of those choices, good and bad.  As I think about my resolutions for the 2017, I’ve made the decision to expand our blog content while committing to no longer living my life in a whisper.  Iyanla Vanzant says that living out loud is having the courage to be exactly who you are without apology.

So here goes: I’m a homebody as well as a serial designer! That’s who I really am, no apology!  In 2017 I want to celebrate my gifts by living them out in the open! I want to focus on the things that I truly love and what really matters to me from gardening, to decorating interiors, to entertaining family and friends, to traveling, and food.   I want to bring my personal style, rooted in the classic with a touch of the whimsical, and an imagination to enjoy pushing boundaries and disregarding rules to each project. Just like the beautiful weddings we’ve created, I intend to approach it all with an urbane eye that captures the essence of effortless sophistication. Every chance I get, I plan to collaborate with other designers, artists and brands to bring inspiring and original content to the blog.

No worries, I will always be available to advise and assist our new brides and clients with planning memorable weddings and other celebratory events.  Events, entertaining, design lifestyle and the home are all themes that weave through nearly everything I’m passionate about.  I have always been passionate about sharing and inspiring confidence in others to trust their instincts when it comes to all things creative in their own space (their homes and gardens no matter how large or small).  And now I want to live that side of me out loud!

I hope you’ll take this personal journey with me as I take the step toward being true to myself and that you’ll use this blog as a resource that encourages you to try something new and most importantly as a guide that pushes you to see the beauty in your own personal spaces.

Bless your space!
